With a strong commitment to continuous quality improvement, inpatient facilities in Warrnambool and Camperdown are complemented by community health facilities in Camperdown, Lismore, Macarthur and Warrnambool, with community-based psychiatric services available in Camperdown, Hamilton, Portland and Warrnambool.
South West Healthcare is the sub-regional referral centre for the south-west, enhancing local health care by providing a number of medical and surgical specialities, reducing the need for patients to travel to metropolitan hospitals.

 New hospital takes shape
There’s no missing Warrnambool’s new $115 million hospital redevelopment project. The imposing construction of regional Australia’s most modern health facility is dramatically adding to the city’s skyline.
One hundred tradesmen – mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, sprinkler fitters, concreters and structural workers – are currently on site. By July another 70 will join them.
