to Colac Area Health
Colac Area Health provides services to Colac Otway, Corangamite and Surf
Coast Shires with a catchment population of approximately 30,000.
Colac Area Health is a unique, integrated Health Service model which provides
Acute, Residential Aged Care and Primary Care services. We currently operate
a Public Health Service (50 beds), Corangamarah Residential Aged Care facility
(75 beds), Birregurra Community Health Centre, Community Dental Clinic,
Community Nursing incorporating Home and Community Care, Hospital in
the Home, Post Acute Care, Palliative Care and an extensive range of Primary
Care services.
Corangamarah Garden UpdateThe Corangamarah garden upgrade commenced in April this year with much anticipation. The garden has been designed by Karen Harvey and Karen and her team has transformed the outdoor spaces around the Aged Care facility into a series of interesting and restful spaces for the residents and their families to enjoy.
The project has been a major undertaking with staff and residents following developments with great interest. The garden has been designed to be drought tolerant with plants such as cordylines and hakeas. It will also contain a water feature and an artistic sculpture.
When completed the upgrade will provide Corangamarah with wonderful surroundings for the aged care facility, the upgrade will enhance the lives of the residents and add to the enjoyment of family and friends when visiting their loved ones.
The garden is due for completion by the end of July 2009.
