Colac Area Health is a provider of acute care (50 beds), emergency services, residential aged care (75 beds) and a diverse range of community such as financial counselling, alcohol and other drugs and a range of allied health services.
Corangamarah is an aged care facility of 75 beds, a modern facility operating since August 2006.
Through the Birregurra Community Health Centre and Colac Neighbourhood House additional services are provided to the wider community.
 Corangamarah Art Show 2010A painting of a burning boat has won Colac's top art prize.
Gavin Saxby Cawthorn from Sydney won the annual Corangamarah Art Show with his painting Heat, an oil on canvas.
The painting depicts a boat in flames, and reflects concepts of death, the final human journey.
McClelland Gallery and Sculpture Park director Robert Lindsay judged the contest, which had a theme of "conceit", with paintings drawing inspiration from an event of the previous year.
Mr Lindsay said he was looking for technical excellence in the painting as well as interesting, original and intriguing subject matter.
"I'm looking if what they choose to do, they do well with no compromises," he said.
Mr Lindsay said the winning painting had interesting ideas and was very well executed.
He said the Corangamarah show had a range on subject matter, setting it apart from other regional art shows.
