Portland District Health is maintaining its reputation for excellent patient care with a new survey result placing it among the best hospitals in Victoria.

The latest Victorian Patient Satisfaction Monitor (VPSM) shows PDH’s overall care score is 83.3, up slightly from the previous survey’s 83.2 ranking.

PDH recorded scores above 82 in all categories except discharge and follow-up where its score was 79.2.

The best score achieved was 86.7 for general patient information while complaints management was also highly ranked at 84.5, along with consumer participation at 83.5.

CEO Chris Giles said the ongoing excellent rankings confirmed the commitment of PDH staff to providing quality and sensitive care.
