Portland’s Harbourside Lodge has confirmed its reputation for providing quality care by achieving a 100 per cent pass mark in its latest accreditation review.

Harbourside Lodge has achieved all 44 outcomes across the four standards in the accreditation process with no formal recommendations for improvements.

This is the second review in a row where the residential aged care facility has received a perfect score. The previous review was in 2012.

The independent assessors from the Aged Care Quality Agency could not find fault with the centre.

There are 44 outcomes and we met the whole lot, Portland District Health Director of Nursing Ros Alexander said. This is a terrific reflection of the quality of care being offered at Harbourside Lodge.

The standards cover staffing and organisational development, the health and personal care of residents, their lifestyle activities, and the lodge's physical environment.

Ms Alexander said the 100 per cent report was an excellent outcome for the community and the residents and their families.

All the residents are interviewed so it's pleasing to have such positive feedback, she said.

It's a credit to all staff for working so diligently to provide such a safe and welcoming environment.

Harbourside Lodge is currently at capacity with all 30 beds occupied.

The complex has eight single rooms with shared ensuites, 14 single rooms with private ensuites and four double rooms with ensuites.
