 Otway Health hosts Community Picnic
The inaugural Apollo Bay Seafood Festival is fast gathering momentum and it is with much enthusiasm that Otway Health & Community Services have come on board to host the Community Picnic.
The festival runs on Saturday 11th February and is a wonderful opportunity to not only showcase the region which is famous for its crayfish, but for the community to come together and enjoy themselves. As part of the Community Picnic, Jess Dorney, Health Promotions Officer at Otway Health will be doing a cooking demonstration on the Main stage, showing the public how to create a delicious and healthy Thai fish burger.
Artwork from Childcare and the various Activity Groups will also be on display and Otway Health are running a colour competition for children of all ages which can be downloaded from our website www.otwayhealth.com.au Winners to be announced on the day.

In Brief
Otway Health and Community Services is one of the first three Multipurpose Services established in Victoria. We commenced operation on 1 January 1995 and provide community health, hospital, aged accommodation, child care centre, adult education, neighbourhood house, rental units for older people (Seamist Villas), palliative care, community (district) nursing, allied health and home based community care services to people residing in our catchment area.
The area covered by Otway Health and Community Services is on the coastal side of the Otway Ranges including the townships of Lavers Hill, Beech Forest and Horden Vale, and extending along the coast from Apollo Bay to Wye River. Home and Community Care Services, including home care, property maintenance and delivered meals extend even further to cover the southern part of the Colac Otway Shire.
