Knock out the Risks Final Report Launch
On 22 June 2010, the Knock Out the Risks Project held an evening to celebrate the project and launch the Final Report.
Thirty community members were in attendance, including the Mayor of Colac Otway Shire, Lyn Russell.
The Knock Out the Risks Project Workers presented a summary of the project's impact on chronic disease in the Colac community.
Colac Area Health Chief Executive Officer, Geoff Iles, launched the Project Final Report and acknowledged the contributions of numerous local organisations who have worked as Project Partners.
The Knock Out the Risks Project has also been nominated in the Community Enterprise category in the 2010 Powercor Colac Otway Business Awards. The Knock Out the Risks Project was designed to engage the community's participation in healthy lifestyle programs and to date the strategies employed have had a positive effect on the health and well-being of the Colac community.
