Colac Area Health is a unique integrated Health Service model which employs 474 staff
across three divisions - Nursing, Primary Care and Corporate.
This model, developed by Colac Area Health, is used as a benchmark and template for other
similar size rural health facilities.
Colac Area Health offers an extensive organisational orientation and department induction,
along with a comprehensive Employee Assistance Program and Salary Packaging. Our
education program focuses on continuing education to all staff categories and includes
Midwifery Scholarship Program, Graduate Nurse Program, Allied Health Students and
Traineeships across all divisions.
Lifestyle
Colac is surrounded by spectacular natural scenery and offers many attractions within close
proximity to the city centre. The Great Ocean Road, Geelong and holiday towns of Lorne and
Apollo Bay are within a comfortable 60 minute drive. The rainforests, wineries and waterfalls
of the Otways form a natural backdrop to the City of Colac. Colac is the key industrial,
commercial and service centre for the Colac, Otway and surrounding regions.
Our new employees appreciate the open spaces, easy parking and the variety
recreational facilities and less expensive housing. Families can choose from
