Colac Area Health is a provider of acute care (50 beds), emergency services, residential aged care (75 beds) and a diverse range of community such as financial counselling, alcohol and other drugs and a range of allied health services.
Corangamarah is an aged care facility of 75 beds, a modern facility operating since August 2006.
Through the Birregurra Community Health Centre and Colac Neighbourhood House additional services are provided to the wider community.
 Liberal VisitorsColac Area Health (CAH) was visited by Peter Dutton the Federal Shadow Minister for Health and Ageing and Sarah Henderson the Liberal candidate for the Federal seat of Corangamite on Thursday, 15 July 2010.
Tony Baldwin, Chair, Board of Directors, Geoff Iles, CEO and other Executive members Libby Fifis, Director of Clinical Services, Jennifer Labourne and Marg White Director of Community Services took the opportunity to provide both Peter and Sarah an overview of the organisation and the range of services provided. The Board's objectives were outlined including the "Grow Our Own" strategy and supporting students in clinical placements.
The merits of providing contemporary accommodation were put forward with sound rationale linked to overall development of procedural skills.
This was followed by a tour of Colac Area Health to provide Peter and Sarah an overview of current services and the proposed site of the accommodation.
