In Brief
The State Government provided recurrent funding for the development and implementation of a Regional Infection control Plan.
The program was designed at enabling hospitals to develop and maintain an efficient and effective Infection control Program that is consistent with current guidelines and standards established by the Department of Human Services and other relevant regulatory bodies.
The region has been divided into 3 sub regions with the appointment of a coordinator for each sub region. Each sub region works independently of each other but communication and resource sharing is flourishing.
Barwon - South West - Southern Grampians Gleleng
The three coordinators are listed at the top of this page. This group has a collaborative relationship focused on shared responsibility for the design and implementation of interventions to decrease infections and exposures across the region.
