BCH Opening of Portarlington Community Health Centre

Tuesday 9th October 2007

The Opening of the newly renovated Portarlington CHC yesterday went extremely well. Approximately 50 people attended, comprising Clients from the PAG program, Board members and staff from across the Program areas. It was great to see District Nursing Staff attending. Tuesday 9th October 2007

It was an occasion to thank the many people responsible for making it happen, and have some closure to a project. Speakers included Pat Bell, Board Vice President, and President/Chairperson of the Portarlington Auxiliary, Monica Hayes, Vice President, and substituting for Pat Semmens, President, who was overseas. I acted as MC, and made some comments thanking the Board/Auxiliary who jointly committed $500,000 towards the project, as well as Chris Fogaty who capably managed the project.
